Meet the Team

  • Mamta Patel

    Mamta has over 30 years’ experience as a science and environmental journalist. She co-founded Chemical Watch, a global online news and events service dedicated to helping businesses achieve safer products. Since selling the company and moving to the Highlands, she works with several local and national community bodies.

  • Anne Wood

    Anne is an Ullapool based professional musician and composer specialising in fiddle styles, classical and popular, Anne also teaches and leads the Highland Chamber Orchestra. She trained at the Royal Academy of Music and SOAS (MMus, Ethnomusicology) and was recently the lead artist on When Mountains Meet (Celtic Connections 2023).

  • Geraint Roberts

    Geraint is a freelance journalist, conference speaker and event programme producer specialising in chemical science, environmental policy and political lobbying. He was editorial director of Chemical Watch, deputy editor of the ENDS Report and news editor of European Chemical News.

  • Rachel Calder

    Rachel is an experienced Events Site Manager and plant operator. She has also been a practising film-maker and installation artist. Over the last 12 years she has worked in voluntary disaster response roles most recently in Türkiye.

  • Adri Patel-Roberts

    Adri is a recent Physics and Philosophy graduate looking to utilise his interdisciplinary experience - alongside his appreciation of the Ullapool area - to help integrate science with art and the unique characteristics of north-west Scotland in an engaging experience.

  • Dr Simon Greenstreet

    Simon worked 37 years as a marine ecologist, primarily concerned with determining and mitigating the ecological impacts of fishing. He is a keen hillwalker, photographer and diver, with over 1300 dives around the world and all around Scotland.

  • Dr Angelica Kroeger

    Angelica is a multi-media artist and reseacher, working with film, photography and sound from her studio in Leckmelm. She holds a PhD in Film and Sound, an MA in Post Production Editing and a BA (Hons) in Digital Art. Her background is in theatre, where she has a vast experience in lighting, sound and video design.

  • Anna van Oordt

    Anna has worked with children and young people for over 20 years helping to deliver nurture and wellbeing sessions. She is a passionate advocate of Outdoor learning as a way to connect people to their environment and increase social and emotional connection. She has a BA (hons) in History and Art and a background of working in Heritage and Conservation fields including the Tate gallery, Mountain Heritage Trust and Earthwatch
